Welcome to Mrs. Kermelewicz's ClassroomI am happy to welcome you to my page! I am so excited to be teaching first grade again this year with a fabulous first grade team. We are going to have a wonderful year of learning in our classroom community. Here's a Little Bit About Me
I was born on the NorthShore and am one of five children. I have two brothers, an older sister and am the middle child with my identical twin sister. You may see her around town and think she’s me but she’s not! After high school I attended Merrimack College and majored in Psychology and Elementary Education. I later graduated from Smith College in Northampton, MA, with a masters degree within the field of Special Education.
I taught hearing impaired students for several years in the North Shore area. I loved the challenge of teaching multi-aged children who were unable to hear. It was an amazing job. After taking some time off to be a mom, I returned to teaching here at the Cashman School as a Title I Reading Tutor for four years. This will be my sixth year teaching first grade at this wonderful school.
My husband and I moved to Amesbury 17 years ago and love being part of this community. We have two beautiful and wonderful daughters, Mya, 18 who will begin her freshman year at Endicott College in the fall and Sadie, almost 15 who will begin her freshman year at Amesbury High School.
I am very excited about the school year and am looking forward to it being a successful one. Success can be achieved by communicating, supporting, and working with one another as a team. This will have a positive affect your child’s achievement.
