Classroom News

  • The students have been working very hard in all areas of Language Arts, Math, and Life Skills in the learning center. The MCAS Alternate Assessments were completed and they were sent into the state for review.  The students who take the MCAS exam completed the ELA and writing portion prior to April Vacation. 

       Now that the warm weather has come we have resumed our community walks to CVS, Cumberland Farms, the Post Office, and the Dollar Store. We have been working on street safety while walking, waiting in line, and money sense skills.

        The 5th and 6th grade students completed a pilot program in Reflex Math on the computer with a focus on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  The reports indicate growth for students and the learning of new facts with this pilot.
