Guidance Information Nights
The Guidance Center hosts various information nights during the school year for parents and students.
Financial Aid Night
Usually held in September, this seminar is open to anyone interested in learning about the financial aid process and financing a higher education. A Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) representative will be onsite to answer questions and provide additional information.

Eighth Grade Night
Usually held in December, this night provides 8th grade parents and students with an overview of AHS. Attendees are introduced to administration, guidance, and teachers, and have a chance to explore the building and a variety of course offerings. There is also a Q&A session with current students and lots of interactive opportunities.

Schooling Beyond High School Night
Usually held in February, this evening is designed to explain the process of college admissions to 10th and 11th grade parents and highlight how the guidance department supports students through this process.

Early College/Dual Enrollment Information Night
Usually held in June, this evening introduces 9th grade parents and students to the Early College/Dual Enrollment pathways, which is a partnership between Northern Essex Community College, Southern New Hampshire University, and Amesbury High School. The program allows Amesbury High School students, starting their sophomore year, to take college level courses. To make this experience both an exciting and a positive one, students are provided with extra support and coaching.
