Welcome 6th-grade students and parents! Within this school year, we will be delving into this wonderful planet that we live on as well as the universe that surrounds the Earth. Some of the topics that will be covered this year will be weather, the atmosphere, landforms, and the interconnections made throughout. Specifically, we will be tracking hurricanes and earthquakes as they occur across the globe. Within the classroom, there will be a working SEISMOGRAPH!! Therefore, if there is an earthquake, there will be some instances when the seismograph will show the vibrations. I am excited to start this next year and cannot wait to explore our universe together.
This summer I had the wonderful opportunity to get married and go on my honeymoon. Students will be able to see pictures of Pompeii the city that was preserved by an eruption. As well as visuals of how ancient civilizations attempted to prevent earthquake damage. The picture on the left is an updated photo from my honeymoon standing in front of The Colosseum.
