School Committee
By City Charter, the Amesbury School Committee consists of 6 members, elected by ballot from the registered voters of the City. The seventh member is the elected Mayor. The School Committee members serve terms of four years.
The School Committee meets twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month (schedule can change based on holidays) at 7pm in the library of Amesbury High School.
