Woodland Nature Trail
Thanks to a generous grant from the Amesbury Educational Foundation, and hard work from some wonderful volunteers, our school has a wonderful new addition...a nature trail! The Audubon designed trail winds through the wooded hillside behind us, ascending by way of custom-built stairs and steps carved from the hill itself. Midway, the trail traverses a small stream by way of a spectacular arched bridge. The trail then loops up, past towering pine trees and areas rich in diverse plant and animal life. After pausing briefly at a great stone circle, the trail then returns past a wonderful pine tree skeleton and a small grove of black birch trees before rejoining itself at the bridge. Take a moment sometime and enjoy a quiet stroll. Access is from our playground, located next to the school.
