Title I is a Federal Program that provides funding for supplemental services. In Amesbury these services are provided at the two elementary schools. All K-4 students are assessed using baseline tests in reading and math. From these results we develop a rank ordered eligibility listing for literacy support.

Reading support is provided during the school day. The reading teacher and tutors provide direct instruction in reading skills. They also assist students using computer-assisted instruction in the computer lab.
