The mission of the library program at the AHS Roland H. Woodwell Library Media Center is to prepare our students to be informed, productive, engaged citizens in an information-driven world. We teach students to build knowledge through inquiry, to respect diversity in learning, and to broaden perspective through collaboration.

Students learn to access, evaluate, organize, and synthesize information, and to be ethical users of information. We promote love of literature and a love of reading. Finally, we encourage our students to be innovative lifelong learners.
