The Roland H. Woodwell Library Media Center welcomes students and staff while promoting reading, and providing assistance in accessing, evaluating, and using effective educational resources.
Although students are starting the school year remotely, the AHS Library staff are here to answer your questions and to help with remote access to our resources.
Need a Book from the Library?
If you know the title of the book you want, email the librarian and she will check if we have it.
If you are looking for a book to read or need a book for a class project, use the Destiny Online Catalog and select the Amesbury High School link. (If using your phone, turn to landscape for better naviation.) Once you have your book title, email the librarian or call the Main Desk at 978-388-4800 Ext. 4150 to arrange for curbside pick up.
The mission of the library program at the AHS Roland H. Woodwell Library Media Center is to prepare our students to be informed, productive, engaged citizens in an information-driven world. We teach students to build knowledge through inquiry, to respect diversity in learning, and to broaden perspective through collaboration. Students learn to access, evaluate, organize, and synthesize information, and to be ethical users of information. We promote love of literature and a love of reading. Finally, we encourage our students to be innovative lifelong learners.
